Hey, dolls! Want to try out a deliciously treny DIY? Well, today I have an easy peasy DIY frayed hem jeans for you to give a go in just 3 steps.
- Thick needle
Step 1. Draw a line across the front of the hem of your denim and back. You can decide how high you’d like the hem to be by measuring it against your ankle. It’s usually best for the front to be slightly higher than your ankle and the back just beneath it for a slight high-low effect. But you can draw right across both sides for a more even look. Repeat on the other leg.
Step 2. Cut off where you’ve decided to draw lines on each side. You can then adjust the hem to as high or low a length you like, whatever you find the most flattering.
Step 3 Once you’re satisfied with the length of your hem you can begin to fray it with a thick needle. Just pull at the hem until you’ve created the desired length of fray. I made the frayed hem about 2 cm or just under 1 inch high but you can make it higher for a more dramatic look. Take note that the hem will unravel with time and washing.
There you have it. Your very own DIY frayed hem jeans to rock this season. Thank you so much for reading and please, let me know what you think of this DIY below. Also, don’t forget to check out the latest style inspiration here.
